gullyblack Skipp Coon is a criminally underrated MC. I'm from Newark, NJ, grew up on some of the dopest MC's that the genre of Hip Hop produced and as the genre spread elsewhere (South of Canada! lol) great MC's obviously we're born as they are now born all over the world these days. Skipp is one of those MC's and his message is embraced by me.

I just downloaded another album on Bandcamp and didn't know I could play albums I brought from them with their free app. Glad to be listening to Skipp again! DOPE!

Carson Newman Skipp Coon is the definition of under appreciated. A must listen for fans of socially and politically vocal rap. Favorite track: assata taught me (page 181).

i don't think it's possible to select a favorite track from this record, so many of them affect me so strongly and in such different ways. the thing they all share, though, is this piercing reflective thoughtfulness. if the closest i can get to understanding truth is just listening to R.A.P. search for it in his own life, i think i'd be ok with that Naomi Alterman
